School Mission
(1) Our Belief:
St. Francis of Assisi, a remarkable follower of our Lord Jesus Christ, lived his life from a fundamental experience of religious faith: “God is good”, and all goodness comes from God. The goodness of God prompted Francis to worship in prayer, saying: “Deus meus et omnia”. In his eyes, God, humans and all things are one. Everything comes from God. Humans and all things are equal, as brothers and sisters.
In response to God’s goodness, St Francis’ way is “to follow in the footsteps of the crucified Lord Jesus Christ in poverty and humility”. Jesus is an example of obedience to God, of selflessness, of devotion to service, and of love to the utmost. He taught people to think, to take responsibility for their own actions and lives, to transcend the narrow concept of self, and to work together to pursue and build a harmonious world in which the goodness of God is manifested. Francis followed in the footsteps of the crucified Lord Jesus Christ, with poverty and humility as his foundation. Poverty represents the inadequacy of humans; and humility comes from the creatureliness of human being. He believed that he could only achieve these objectives if he acted through such nature.
(2) Our Vision:
We uphold the core values of Catholic education, committing to and nurturing the values of truth, righteousness, love, life, and family, and putting them into practice with the spirit of Minority and Fraternity.
In keeping with St Francis’ example, our school teachers work together to promote his virtues of Charity, Wisdom, Patience, Humility, Poverty, Joy, Serenity, Meditation, Mercy, and Discernment, teaching our young people and students to love God above all things and to love all people and all creations for the love of God.
We aspire to see teachers and students working together to build a caring campus, an innovative society, a democratic nation, and a better world.
